In this little post I will explain how to get more kills in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. So first of all, I happen to think I am quite a good cod player. I have a pretty good kill to death ratio, win loss ratio, and score per minute. I also have a few good strategies that I developed in the 4 years that I have been playing this series. So when modern warfare 3 just came out. I created a video on how to get more kills in mw3. The video had some pretty good tips and slowly blew up! It now has over 130,000 views and was listed as “official” on youtube when you searched “how to get more kills in mw3″ on YouTube. It is also first to come up when you search for it on google/youtube and has the most views for a tutorial that helps getting more kills in mw3.

Here are a few important points you should remember:

Use a Silencer – If you are not using a silencer your enemy will know where you are and try to attack you. Engaging more than 1 enemy at once is a bad idea, silencers prevent large engagements.

Use Low Killstreaks – The first thing you might think of when trying to get more kills in mw3 is to use killstreaks like  AC-130 or the osprey gunner. Those killstreaks are strong ones, but they are hard to get. You might get your osprey once every 5 games that you play, but you can get your attack helicopter every game. So let’s say the helicopter gets you 3 kills every time you get it, and the osprey gets you 10 kills every time you get it. Which ones would you take? 5 games of playing without any killstreaks and then getting a bonus of 10 kills? Or playing 5 games while getting your killstreaks and overall getting a bonus of 15 kills? Sometimes a good way to get more kills is to just use lower killstreaks.

Keep Your Back Faced To The Edges/Cover - This is probably the most important tip. If you want to live longer, and therefore get more kills you have to make sure your back isn’t expose to the battlefield. If someone can shoot you from the back, you can’t out-gun them because they are behind you! However if you can keep your back and one of your sides to a wall or some cover, you just minimized your chance of dying by 50%. If you have your back and a side covered you can only be shot from areas that you can see, so if you are a decent player your if you have good aim you might be able to out-gun your enemy and get an extra kill.

DON’T SPRINT ! – This one is really basic, try not to sprint. When you sprint, it takes a moment for your gun to come up if you try to aim or shoot. That moment is all the time your enemy needs to kill you. If you are in a one on one encounter, and you are sprinting, your enemy will shoot you before you can even aim. Then it only takes 3 more shots for him to kill while you may only shoot 2-3 times. Your enemy will simply kill you every single time because they have more time than you do. Now, I am not saying don’t sprint at all, I just don’t want you to sprint in areas you might thing enemies might be in. For example this could be a high traffic passage, or near the “B” flag in domination. Only sprint around areas that are safe for sure.
